Addi's First Christmas

Drooling over all the presents!
"Snow White" to watch on my new car dvd player...
"Oh that's a big one!"

Mmmm... good

Another Christmas... another present... here with my cousin Sloan and Aunt Lisa (not pictured - cousin Kyle)
Christmas morning... she got to tired to sit up so we had to lay down to open presents!

Oh DORA! We love Dora!

Paw Paw and Victoria playing with my new toy...

Showing Maw Maw and Paw Paw all the presents Santa brought me...

First present... no instructions needed....

Well, as you can see we had a very Merry Christmas. We all got more than we needed, wanted or deserved. Honestly, our Christmas could not have been more perfect! It was so much fun to watch her SIT UP and CRAWL around in a mountain of presents and wrapping paper. Of course, we bought Addison way more presents than she needed (we have to go buy another basket for all of her toys)! However, I do worry about her forgetting what Christmas is all about... I have been thinking of things that we are going to do differently next year and the years after that so that Addison always knows that Christmas isn't about lots of presents, but about baby Jesus. I have a whole year to perfect my plans, but I think we are going to start a new Christmas tradition!

PRICELESS!!!

Ryan and the Lake Travis Cavaliers won the 4A State Championship Title on December 19, 2009! WOW, we had a lot of fun this year with football. Lake Travis has now won 3 championships in a row, but this is Ryan's first championship win. There are lots of things that money can't buy and this is one of them - watching my husband win his first state championship was absolutely priceless! Of course, we have been hearing about it ever since! So proud of this honor, that thousands of high school football coaches dream of their whole lives! WE are so blessed. Thanks to all our family and friends for their support over this season.

Oh Addison!

I bought her this toy (for Christmas) but I couldn't resist letting her play with it... I think we will just wrap it up anyway! I swore to myself that I wouldn't get her too many gifts, but it seems I am buying her something everytime I turn around.
AND this would be the reason why Ryan and I lowered her baby bed this evening!! Addi and I went shopping today and I put her in the bed while I unloaded the car. When I walked into the room this is what she was doing. Of course I had to grab the camera.

This was actually the first picture I took! She seems to be saying, "Look what I can do mom!"

As I sit here posting these pictures it is exactly 11:47 p.m. on Thursday night. I have lost track of the days but we took Addison to the ER on the 15th because we couldn't figure out what was wrong with her. She screamed everytime we layed her down. Spoiled she might be, but she consistently goes to bed between 8:30-9:30 every night. When she was upright she was fine! Literally screamed until 3:30 a.m. when her and I fell asleep together in a hospital bed at St. David's hospital. Shortly thereafter, the dr. came in with the x-ray results that ruled out a "twisted bowel"... So after a few hours there no one really knew what had been wrong with her. Perhaps gas! Oh this little apple doesn't fall far from her father's tree. Anyway, the point of the story is that this girl has not been to sleep until midnight or after every night since then!!!!!!!!! One night out of routine has completely ruined the week! Amazing.... Oh how I want to sleep as she is crawling about on the living room floor. 12:04 --- and she is still wide awake!!

Our Busy Life

Lil' Miss Addison sitting (she has been "almost" sitting up for the past few days... but was really good at it today!) It's going to be so much fun taking pictures of her now that she can do something besides lay there! We "almost" have the crawling thing down too! She is getting big too fast!

Addi and Daddy kissing by the Christmas tree!

We took Addison to the Christmas light trail that the city of Lakeway puts on! She wasn't that amused - maybe next year! (the "monkey face" once again)

The family at the semi-final game at Kyle Field -- ooh the weather was yucky, but we got the "W"!

This is Addi's newest face! The "monkey face" had to have a monkey onesie
Football has been a blast this year! Ryan's football team is playing for the state title this Saturday at Baylor Stadium! Go Cavaliers!

This silly girl! Ryan was showing her the "singing" birthday card we gave him and she kicked and danced when the music played and stopped when the music stopped! It was hilarious! She did it again this morning too! Love her!

Update on Us!

Ryan's football team (Lake Travis Cavaliers) won their second round game against Cibolo Steele last Saturday at the Alamodome. It was the most exciting game we have had all year long! Fortunately, we have been beating everyone by 50 or more points. However, this game went down to the final seconds where our defense stopped them on the four yard line to win the game! We play a Corpus Christi team this Saturday at the Alamodome again. It is really exciting, Ryan has never coached in the third round of playoffs before and it looks like we will be heading to the fourth round! Addi and I really enjoy going to the games (she loves watching football and all the other people) and it is fun to watch Ryan! He is really enjoying football/teaching this year. I hope we can stick it out until December 19th and play for state! Go Cavs!

These are just a few of our family pictures, taken in Pfugerville by the talented Anna Spencer (www.thegracephotography.com). I love all of them - it is so hard to decide which to print! Watch your mail box - you might be getting one in your Christmas card!

Baby's First Halloween

On Halloween day we went to Sweet Berry Farms in Marble Falls (about 20 minutes from our house) and took pictures in the pumpkins. It is a really neat place to go, but Addison will appreciate it more when she is older. They have hayrides, face painting, pumpkin painting, horse rides, etc. Of course, Addison didn't pay much attention to anything, except the goats! We had a good time and the weather was absolutely beautiful.
