Walk this Way!

**Our Easter Bunny**

Just a few Easter pictures... more to follow! We had a blast and she took some really great pictures. I have to save the rest for our Easter cards/emails! I hope she is walking in time for the big Easter egg hunt! She is up to about 10 steps before she gets scared and drops to the floor.

Sick Baby

Addison and I are back at my parents house for the week and last night I was awakened by a shrill scream.. Addison of course. I figured she must have had a bad dream and would fall right back to sleep. As it turned out, she continued to scream until around 3:30. Dozed off for a little while an the screaming commenced at 5:30. At 7:00 I gave her to my mom, because physically I couldn't handle it anymore. I figured it was bad gas, but obviously I was wrong. That screaming turned into coughing, wheezing, and a runny nose. Luckily we were able to get into the doctor right away... she was diagnosed with croup. As a mother I was concerned, croup sounds serious. The doctor then informed me that the 3rd night is often the worst! 3rd night! She must have seen the look of horror on my face, when she assured me that it would be okay. Hopefully the steriods and Motrin would help prevent it from getting worse. Long story short, after a long night, long day, many medical purchases, and fighting with a very sick baby I am now sitting near her bed listening to her breathe. As it turns out, a family friends grandchild had croup... their grandchild stopped breathing in the middle of the night and almost died. So, I chose the first shift, I will be handing off to my mom, and my grandmother (who lives 2 minutes down the road) will be finishing the race. Since I haven't gotten much sleep I have to do something to keep myself awake... hmmm, must update the blog I suppose.

FuN iN tHe SuN

Well, the weather has been absolutely beautiful this week! Addison and I have been busy outside enjoying the sun. We have been waking up early and getting our "inside" chores done so we can enjoy the afternoons outside. Lets see... we have been going on walks, going to the park, planting flowers (she likes to eat dirt!), painting, and blowing bubbles. Miss Priss got rosey cheeks after our last walk! I didn't think we were out that long - next time we will have to put some sunscreen on those fair little cheeks. Addison has been super fussy lately (we are getting our 3rd tooth) so I am thankful for the nice weather because she likes it outside (for a little while at least).
She's so pretty in pink (had to get the bling bling shades)
We had to touch up her toes... okay, well I paint pretty much her whole toe & the 'extra' comes off in the bath tub!

9 MONTHS OLD!!!

Well, our little baby girl isn't so little anymore! Wow, the past nine months have flown, as I write this I still can't believe it. Our nine month old is trying to hit the computer keys as I type (she can pretty much get to anything she wants these days). This week she started taking steps, okay more like one and a half steps - before she drops to the floor. However, she is getting better and her confidence is growing - it won't be long before she is walking. Anyway, these photos were taken on 2/28/2010 - her 9 month birthday.

On March 1, 2010 she had her 9 month check up. They had to run some routine blood tests! The nurse had me hold Addi in my lap and hold her arm still while she stuck a needle in her poor little arm. At first the vein rolled over so it seemed like an eternity that she was moving that needle around in her arm. All the time Addi was watching her and trying to move her arm - the same arm that I was trying to hold still. Finally, she got the vein and it only took a minute to get the blood. Amazingly enough she didn't even cry! After I let go over her arm, her poor little wrist and hand was blue from me holding on so tight. We couldn't believe that our little tough girl didn't cry. I hope we don't have to do that again anytime soon, it brought back bad memories of our last stay in the hospital :(
