First Time In The POOL!

What a cute lil' butt!
blowin' bubbles!

She couldn't figure out what to do with her hands (at first)... we were a bit confused... is it bathtime, or what?

Now we are having fun!!

CHEEEEZZZ!
Okay... I know have went a bit overboard this week with posts... but this might be the last for a while. I have created a lot of work for myself with Addi's birthday party and I have been procrastinating a bit. It's getting to the point where I can't put it off any longer! I am sure she won't remeber anything about her 1st birthday party, but momma still has to make a "big deal" out of it!

Ahhh... peace and quiet. Addison is taking a nap, giving me just enough time to get a quick run in and enjoy a few minutes of silence before she wakes up. It reminds me of the days when it was just Ryan and myself. I actually remember days when we were so bored in Athens (house was clean, yard mowed, etc.) that we would go to Wal-Mart just to do something! Ha, that doesn't happen anymore! As much as I enjoy the few minutes of quiet time that I get, I can't imagine our life any other way, I enjoy the craziness.

In two days our baby girl will be eleven months old! My mother pointed out to me a few weeks ago that I was going to have to take away Addi's bottle when she was a year old. I assumed that this would be a difficult step so we started about 2 weeks ago. I still give her night bottles, but she has done really well with just drinking milk from a sippy cup during the day -such a big girl! It really does break my heart, I loved giving her a bottle. I think I miss the bottle more than she does!

Family Time

It's rare that Ryan is home during the week, much less early enough for us to go out to dinner as a family! So when practice was out early, there was no game, and it was beautiful outside we decided to have a "family dinner" on the lake. Fortunately, we are super close to Lake Travis and about 5 minutes from lots of great restraunts on the lake. Just one more reason why we love living in Lakeway. Anyway, we had a wonderful dinner at Carlos & Charlies (for the first time in 2 years the lake is full!) Addison really enjoyed looking at the boats, kids, and the birds that were eating everyone's crumbs! We love watching her reactions to new things!

Looking @ the boats with Daddy

Seeing a palm tree for the first time, apprarently they look pretty scary!

eating on the deck! mmm... peas and sweet taters!

Daddy is HOME!

Ryan went to Texas Tech for four days to a football clinic! Took these pictures when he came home! She loves her Mama and her Daddy, but she loves spending time with Daddy when he is home.
Check out my "grill"!!!
Daddy bought me a duck wearing a Texas Tech vest!

I like to walk BUT I love the camera!

Hangin' with Daddy - not letting him get too far out of her sight!

ohh, giving Daddy hugs... so glad he is home!

Where the Wildflower Are

Addison & I finally took pictures in the pretty pink (and a few yellow) flowers in Lexington. We spent about 15 minutes taking pictures and I got so many great (in my opinion) pictures! I had to share my favorites, sorry their are so many! I just love spring! I wish it could be this beautiful all the time.

Random Photos

I was cleaning out the dog's kennel when my little "prisoner" decided to crawl in and play. Coincidentally, she was wearing her little "prisoner" outfit!

Cheesing it up while she watched the Snow White move her Grammy & Grandpa Priem gave her for Christmas. She didn't like the witch!

Oh, Addison

Well, Addison's first birthday is quickly approaching! I still have a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact that she has been with us for over 10 months! She arrived with quite the personality, but in the last few weeks she has really turned it on. It's not surprising to hear "Momma" or "Dadda" as she crawls or walks in your direction. She has been taking 10-15 steps at a time, but in the last few days she has really picked up the pace. BUT she gets so excited that she starts to run and often bumps her big head - As you can see from the picture above! She scared me to death with that huge knot on her head. If I open the dishwasher she can hear it and frantically crawls to it, trying her best to crawl inside! Needless to say, the dishwasher gets loaded and unloaded during nap time, if she has one! We are still doing "Baby Can Read" and just two days ago I turned on the video and watched her watch it for a bit. The word was "wave" and a little girl came on and waved and said the word wave. Then Addison waved back! Ahhh, so proud... she is a smart little booger. Now we can't leave a room without her waving and saying "bye bye"... of course when the video camera is rolling she is too busy staring at the light and won't do it! I sure do miss my "little baby" but she is getting to be a lot of fun. She usually has us Ryan is still really busy with baseball, so he isn't around as much as we would like. Honestly, it does get tough around her, because a lot of responsibility falls on me with him gone. I just have to remind myself how lucky we really are and look forward to the time that we do get to spend together. Everyday I get to spend with her is such a blessing and I am so grateful that I couldn't find a job this year!

A few pictures from our pre-Easter "photo-shoot" at our house and the park. She really is the cutest little bunny, isn't she?! I think she is really starting to love the camera. I was just organizing my closet and taking pictures of my shoes (to put on the boxes) and she kept jumping in front of the camera and smiling. What a toot!
