Growing Girl
Addison is still growing and changing everyday! Ryan and I went on vacation for a week with some friends and when we returned it seemed like our baby looked like a little girl (not a baby). It was hard for me to leave her (this was really the first time) but we had a good time and most days we were busy enough to not worry about her. I know Addison enjoyed her time 'away' from us! She stayed with her MiMi and YaYa for the week and went to bible school in the mornings and went on other adventures during the afternoons! She loves being out in the country where she can run in the grass, play with the dogs, and watch the moo cows! She had a fun visit to the "Exner Farm" where she got to see lots of animals that she hasn't seen before! I know my mom was exhausted by the time we got home, but she was missing Addi the day after we left!
Let's see... As of today Addison has SEVEN teeth! Four on the top (front) and three on the bottom (front)... She looks like she has a mouth full! At her one year appt. Dr. Jatzlau said her gums were swollen @ the back, so it looks like we will be working on our molars now. Luckily for us, she has been sleeping alot better lately, sleeps thru the night most of the time. BUT she is a little ball of fire, never slows down until she is absolutely exhausted. I do have to admit, lately she has gotten really really sweet... she is giving lots of hugs (the really good kind) and she even lays in my lap in the morning (head to head) to watch her cartoons... that is my favorite time of the day, cause once she is up she is up! Anyway, now that we are done with birthday parties and vacations I suppose I will have more time for pictures (I haven't been taking a hundred a week like usual)

THE ZOO!
Well, Addison has officially had her first trip to the zoo! I have very fond memories of family trips (zoo, Seaworld, etc.) and it is really important to me that Addison has the same. Most days I can't remember what I wore the day before, but I can vividly remember our family trips. So since we were already in town for the baseball playoffs we took the 2 hours off we had, and made a quick trip to the zoo (hoping mainly to see the monkeys). Addison had fun, but of course she will enjoy the zoo much more when she is a bit older. Either way it was a fun morning and it was worth seeing the smile on her face while she watched the animals!
A spectacled bear... I knew what this creature was BECAUSE of our friend Dora the Explorer! Now don't say television can't be educational
The pretty pink flamingos
The quack quacks were pretty impressive to Mrs. Addison! She recently learned what a duck says, so apparently she is now in love with ducks!

Addison's 1st Birthday Party!
We had Addison's 1st birthday party on May 28, 2010 (her actual birthday) at her MiMi & YaYa's house on the deck. It was sooooo hot, but once the sun went down and we caught a little breeze it was ok. The end of May in Texas is not exactly the best time to have a party outside, unless there is a pool nearby! Addison had lots of fun, I bet she ran at least a mile, opened lots of presents, and ate cake and ice cream. She was exhausted and after a much needed bath she was out like a light.
