Time Flies...

Well, as you can see by the new photos our little girl isn't so little anymore. I can't believe she will be 3 months old in 3 days! Addi started talking last week (oh it is the cutest thing ever) so I need to post a video of those beautiful sounds and she has become much more playful. She loves her piggy! As she grows, I am convinced that she will run before she crawls. We tried the Bumpo this week (she seems to like it) but I think she is still a little to small! Well, dad is home from work - so it's family time! Pray for Addi and I, it's going to be a long couple months with Ryan working 7 days a week. I hope all this work pays off with a state championship! Game 1 is this Friday and it is already all over the Austin news!

Like Mother Like Daughter

A few weeks ago my grandmother (a.k.a Maw Maw) gave me an outfit that I wore when I was just 6 days old. She insisted that I take picture of Addison in my old Care Bears onesie! So here they are... it's a little tight, but boy I am glad that Addison wasn't as big as me when she was born! Sorry Mom :)

About a year ago a friend of ours had just had a baby and I was visiting her. I remember her getting emotional and telling me how she had never loved anyone or anything as much as she loved her baby. Of course, I teared up and at that moment I thought I understood what she was talking about. This was right around the time that we were trying to have a baby and constantly being disappointed every month. It wasn't until Addison was born that I truly understood what she was talking about. I loved Addison the moment I discovered that I was pregnant (one morning before school after taking 3 pregnancy tests), I loved her more the first time I saw her on a sonogram, I loved her more the first time I felt her move, I loved her more the day we found out that she was a "she", but I had no idea how much I really loved her until the day that she was born and I saw her for the very first time. Even though she was covered in baby goo and had puffy eyes she was the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. At that moment she became the most important person in the world to me. Since that day, I have often found myself remembering what it felt like to see her for the first time and for some reason this song "I Never Knew Love" keeps popping into my head. When I was pregnant everyone gave me advice and told me stories (good and bad) but no one could truly explain that feeling when you see your baby for the first time and hold her in your arms. That is a feeling that I know I will always remember and cherish, because it is the day that my life really started.

This is a picture I took right before the big coaches party! Addison was wearing an outfit I bought her on a shopping trip to Canton (with Erin, Hunter, Rachel, and Molly). God apparently knew what he was doing because I bought this before she was born and red and black are the school colors here at Lake Travis!

Shot Day!

Addi had her 2 month shots today! You wouldn't know it by looking at her here! She was all smiles for Uncle Matthew and super sweet to her MiMi. She also visited her Grandma Priem, but she was too sleepy to wake up! Oh what a sweet baby girl :)
