Woohoo two posts in one week! Despite the fact that my daughter isn't sleeping well at night, I can't make myself go to bed early. So once she goes to bed I try to catch up on the things that "I" want to do.
Anyway, one of my many projects today was getting things together for Easter. I put out the decorations, stuffed the "eggs"... and by eggs I mean the toilet paper rolls covered in tissue paper. You see, my mom informed me that we were supposed to boycott plastic easter eggs because they are all made in China. I have also received multiple emails about our (America) dependence on other countries for our goods. Honestly, I have never thought too much about it. I go to the store and I buy what I need, I don't read the labels. However, with our current economy and so many people out of work it really does make sense to BUY AMERICAN and save or create jobs here in America. I mean really, I thought we were the world's super power and yet we are sending all of our money to other countries. Okay, I will stop my political rant. Long story short... I am taking the NO CHINESE EGGS thing seriously. To be honest I like my "rolls" better. They hold more candy and they look like giant pieces of colorful candy. I think the kids will love them too...plus I bought good candy and prizes!
I know I had a point here.... um, yes, so I was getting Addison's Easter basket filled up with all the crap I have been buying for the last 2 months. The basket was full and then I found a book I had bought to give her for Easter (The Hungry Caterpillar) so I just gave it to her today. I love that book and she was ecstatic to get it. Of course I think I read it to her a dozen times and I know Ryan was forced to read it to her at least once when he got home. I had to share some video I got of her with that book. She is so silly and smart.
